Delhi One is a large scale mixed-use complex in the emerging city of Noida, located southeast of Delhi, India.
MAP was commissioned as a BIM Consultant by Woods Bagot (architect) to implement a BIM process for the master-planning and of the 5 million square-foot complex. The enormity of the project required the management and coordination of many separate BIM models to allow for flexible design development. The BIM model facilitated the effective communication and coordination between the project team members located internationally.
This mixed-use proposal was an attempt to introduce the retail giant Nordstrom into the prominent retail corridor of New York's Madison Avenue. An existing underground MTA Metro North railroad displaced the tower's infrastructure, thus creating a unique design challenge.
Before founding MAP, Alfred Huang was a senior designer in Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) assigned to this proposal, where he experimented with BIM's unique visualization tools to prototype dynamic program diagrams linked to parametric area calculations.
Noted for its distinctive facade, the Zuellig Building is the first Class-A office building in Manila's Makati Central Business District that is awarded LEED Platinum for its environmentally conscious design.
Before founding MAP, Alfred Huang was the senior designer in Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) who led the Zuellig Building project team. He streamlined the BIM workflow and integrated iterative design modeling with simultaneous documentation. The expressive curtain wall was modularized and optimized with BIM's parametric tools to tackle the excessive heat of Philippine's tropical seasons.
Queens dental office
MAP was retained as the architect to design and administer the construction of a new 2,700 square-foot pediatric dental office located in the borough of Queens in New York City.
MAP delivered a fresh and soft design inspired by curves and color. The project used the latest BIM design tools to prototype designs, and coordinate dental equipment adjacencies to finally deliver an efficient and inspiring space free of clutter.
This new dentist office was completed in 2015.
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN HEALTH & MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE
The South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is state-of-the-art urban research facility located in Adelaide, South Australia. It features a unique exterior skin designed to respond to its environment and internal program.
MAP was commissioned as a BIM Consultant by Woods Bagot (architect) to model the complex modular diagrid system that generates the exterior envelope's organic form. MAP used parametric tools to optimize the geometries for fabrication and assembly.
SAHMRI was completed in 2013, and the parametric exterior skin contributed to the building's LEED Gold sustainability rating.
152 east 87th street
MAP was commissioned as a BIM consultant by Montroy Anderson and DeMarco (architect) to model and render the 17-story residential condominium development located in New York City.
MAP combined the normally-redundant rendering model and the documentation model in favor of a singular, multi-purpose BIM model. This investment in BIM streamlined the team's design and documentation timeline while also yielding beautifully accurate renderings and drawings for the project team as they push forward with the iterative design process.
The spectacular landscapes of the Albanian countryside attract millions of tourists very year. MAP was hired to create a design concept for a 64-room eco-friendly hotel retreat situated in the Shkrel Mountains near the town of Bogë, Albania.
The design is an assembly of modular concrete forms, with minimal footprint on the landscape. Each unit frames the scenic valley, and is only steps away from a natural stream running through the site. The hotel will serve as a transitional hub for biking and hiking through the countryside.
MAP was commissioned as a BIM consultant by Woods Bagot (architect) to assist in the planning, design and documentation of this new state-of-the-art financial office with the latest BIM technologies. The BIM process helped accelerate design development with on-demand design visualizations that facilitated communication of design intent with the client. The model became a useful tool in the strategic planning and layout of the office.
The project is located in Canary Warf, east of London and was finished in 2011.
Engineered with an efficient shape and structure, the Lotte Supertower aspired to be the tallest supertower in Asia. Its aerodynamic profile optimizes the stress distribution while harmoniously uniting form with function.
Before founding MAP, Alfred Huang was a senior designer with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) that pioneered BIM technologies for parametric design on this project. The team developed an adaptive building information model that allowed for rapid design prototyping. The innovative process became an illuminating case study on BIM's increasingly critical role in skyscraper and supertall design.
westfield los angeles
Westfield Corporation is a leading global retail real-estate group looking to establish a new headquarter in Los Angeles.
MAP was commissioned as a BIM consultant by Woods Bagot (architect) to assist in the planning, design and documentation with the latest BIM technologies. The BIM process accelerated design development with simultaneous design iterations without compromise in schedule.
